How To Build A Solar Panel – Part 3
Watch in HD Watch The First Part of This Project First At: www.youtube.com Visit Solar Tech Town for the full video: www.solartechtown.com I, Robert Smith, show you every step I take to building a custom made solar panel from scratch. I explain in detail about each item I use and why to use it, so the video is fairly long. I will be hosting the majority of the video on my own server so you can view it all in one take. It will take time to edit the video, but the more of you that subscribe to the video, the faster I’ll try to get it out to you guys as it just shows that people are interested and appreciate what I’m doing, as I’m providing this video for free unlike some videos you see on youtube. The method I described in this video is just one way to go about it, however, there are many ways you can build a custom solar panel. Some use aluminum or plastic frames, but I found for a beginner, working with wood would probably be easier and cheaper. Overall, building a solar panel can be fun, but there are many factors that play into building a solar panel, and I as well still have an extreme amount to still learn about it. So I hope that for those wanting to learn more about solar energy and wanting to take the adventure of building their own solar panel will find this video very useful. To watch to full video just video, just visit www.solartechtown.com Again the video is fairly large, so to prevent from having to put 6 or 7 parts on youtube in 10 minute sections, I’m just …
Thank you Robert
If more young people were like you and the world would be a better place.
not a problem
Glad to hear that
Freaking awesome!
I am very happy to see someone younger than me interested in doing this!!! I wish I had this interest many years ago, never too late I guess (tsk…tsk). Thank you very much Robert, you did a wonderful job on this project!!! Keep up the good work.

Thankyou, its coming along great
looking forward to part 4.
Great job. Awful lot of painstaking work involved!
“patience”, not “patients”
Also, 0.5 x 0.5 = 0.25, not 1.0. I think you meant 0.5 + 0.5
Why do people put music to these videos. I couldn’t hear a word he said…painful.
Hi,
Sorry about that Indiana, if there was a part you couldn’t understand what was going on, just simply sign up at our forums on our site and let me know there where you got lost or couldn’t hear, and I’ll try to explain to you what exactly I was doing or did.
Thanks
Robert, thanks for taking the time to explain the whole process in detail. I am making my solar panels with your help, your a good teacher.
DUDE YOU ARE THE BEST !!!
Good instructional video, but you really do need to add a small amount of solder when applying you tabs to the back of the cells and when soldering the cells together. This will make soldering much easier and faster. Not to mention a much better and longer lasting solder joint!
lame music
blixexxx000 its obvious we all feel sorry for you as you missed out on getting attention growing up you got some from us though so my hearts goes out to you
i dont feel sorry for the fool. in fact i want to connect a 200watt solar panel to his b%lls
Your the man for putting these videos up. Thanks dude
just wondering why some people in videos put tab wire on the front and some attach to the back.thanks very good videos.
Banjo and piano background music??where be snoop n 50 cent?

putting them on the front first makes it easier to line up.

Thank you for your videos, I don’t know anything about solar power and I am interested in learning, Q? On this video at 5min 50 sec, your caption shows .5x.5V=1, but .5x.5=.25…Did you mean .5+.5=1volt?
8:56 sounds like he says “drillin ma hoes” hahahaha
