Use light dimmers and lower the speed of roof fans. Get by with using fewer lights in the house. All steps you take can contribute to savings and make a difference.

Trees and shrubs planted in your garden can be a windbreak and add shade to your house in summertime. In frigid weather it can act as isolation against the low temperatures.

You can reduce driving costs by speeding your car up slowly. Ensure that you do not exceed the speed limit and slow down early when approaching red traffic stops. Accelerate slowly when the traffic signal turns green again. This will save costs on your driving expenses.

Earth 4 Energy – Really Renewable?

Can you successfully use Earth for Energy.While governments and everyone else is talking about and trying to be environmentally aware, you have undoubtedly been wondering how you can do this yourself.

I have been researching ways to minimize my adverse effects on the environment.

As a general rule I’m always looking for ways to cut expenses and save money especially when I look around at the circumstances, how gloomy this economy is, and how most of the experts and pundits are predicting it will get worse or at lease continue on this flat line for many more months.

Anyway and anything I can do to reduce my monthly bills and the expenses taking cash out of my pocket is a good thing so obviously if I could reduce my reliance on the electrical grid or even eliminate it altogether I’m in a much more powerful position.

However, a key finding of my research was that achieving this goal was hindered by the prohibitively high cost of alternative energy solutions.

To obtain an adequate number of solar panels to power the home, and then to have the home outfitted with them, would run in excess of ten thousand dollars.  Unfortunately, the prohibitive costs I’m talking about for windmills can run you from $5,000 on up to $10,000 and more.  I’m sure you’ll agree this is quite an expense or wind power and would take many years to offset this costs on the small monthly savings it does for your electric bill.  Also a big problem with wind is where I live its only windy a couple of days a month.

It is sunny here in Texas between 250 and 310 days per year so clearly the solar would be the ideal choice for where I live.

But I kept coming back to the nagging problem of the five figure costs.  Unfortunately, he was extremely difficult for me to get over that nagging high cost problem.  “The way the the economy is going these days, who has an extra $10,000 to spare?”

Myself, I don’t and I figure you feel the same.

So I went to the trusty Internet and as luck would have it stumbled upon a solution which overcame the high cost problem that was stopping.  Any time he let your mind work and ask a question “how can this problem be solved?”  Often times you come up with an answer as to that.  This seemed to be an under $1000 solution.

Now you may not even have $1,000 lying around and neither did I.  But the cool thing is I found a way, Earth 4 Energy, to do this in stages so I could do it for less than a couple hundred dollars a month and add another panel each month.

Only a couple of months before starting the Earth 4 energy program from Michael Harvey I was paying over $372 per month in electricity bills.  Ever since I started conserving light, my electric bills last month has gone down drastically.

When you look at the numbers and percentages it’s a whopping amount.  Just a dollar amount is over $65 which could be a high-class dinner for two.
